Restaurateur Michael Chernow and his model wife Donna Hemmingsen are putting their Williamsburg condo on the market for $1.1 million.
Chernow is co-founder and owner of the cheap ‘n’ chic Meatball Shop empire.
A keen fisherman, Chernow has also launched Seamore’s, a Hamptons-meets-the-city, beach shack-style sustainable seafood eatery in Nolita. This week, a Chelsea outpost opened and we hear another one is coming to the East End. Chernow’s one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit, at 98 Havemeyer St., is 852 square feet. As one might imagine, it comes with a killer kitchen.
There’s also an open living/dining space with nearly 10-foot ceilings, custom moldings, painted white floors and a terrace with a plant irrigation system already in place.
The unit additionally includes new French doors that lead to the bedroom, which has been divided to create a second sleeping space.
The wall that separates the rooms has built-in windows to bring in more light.
The best part, however, might be a sweet spiral staircase that leads to a landscaped private roof deck with panoramic views of Williamsburg — a perfect spot to entertain.
The listing brokers are Halstead’s Ari Harkov and Warner Lewis.
